Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) facilitates continuous improvement in environmental, health and safety management through engagement, consultation and collaboration with all members of the Dalhousie University community. Reporting to the Industrial Safety Manager, the EH&S Specialist (Industrial) makes independent decisions that support the development and implementation of strategic direction, compliance objectives, and EH&S targets that help lead the institutionalization of standards/procedures/processes, and improves institutional safety culture. Interprets provincial and federal occupational safety legislation, comprehends complex industry standards, codes and other external safety guidelines.
