Position: ENG Camera
Location: 1420 Broad Street, Victoria, BC - Legislature Bureau
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week | Some shift work including evenings, weekends, overtime and on-call will be required

Responsibilities:

CTV Vancouver has an opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled technical journalist. In this role you will be responsible for shooting and editing. Reporting to the ENG Camera Supervisor, this multi-talented and motivated team player will be responsible for;

 

  • Shooting and editing for the Vancouver market
  • Utilizing ENG equipment (Atlas) & digital editing software (Adobe Pro) to produce stories in a timely, engaging and accountable manner
  • Edit content in the station and in the field
  • Set up and operation of live equipment (Dejero)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven background in news gathering
  • Experience in Electronic News Gathering, Video/Audio/Editing
  • Self-initiative and ability to work independently under pressure of deadlines
  • Keen interest in and understanding of current events, local community issues and political structures
  • Ability to travel on short notice an asset
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Able to lift and carry 25lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence (or equivalent) with clean driving record (abstract will be required)
