We are now recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our Human Resources team. This role is currently working from home 3 days a week and 2 days a week at our head office in Burnaby, BC. Apply this week if you would like to take on this role.
Key Ways This Position Makes An Impact
The Employee Relations Advisor is a business partner that provides support to department leaders regarding Human Resources strategies and programs.
This role works on labour relations, performance management, absenteeism management, and organizational effectiveness.
In this role, you would provide managers with coaching, advice, and facilitate training in areas of labour and employment law, HR policies and practices, grievance and dispute resolution, progressive discipline, and administration of the collective agreement.
You would review trends with management and and recommend actions items to ensure positive organizational change and employee engagement.
You would prepare employee communications and letters pertaining to the collective agreement.
Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in labour relations advising managers on all aspects of employee relations matters in a unionized environment
- University degree or technical diploma in a relevant field
- Extensive knowledge of labour relations and employment legislation and practice, analytical skills, and a proactive service orientation
- Solid spoken and written communication skills to facilitate presentations, consult management, and mediate issues
