BDC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, Culture and Leadership Development that will be responsible for envisioning and bringing to life a leadership development offering as well as continuing the activation of our renewed culture. More specifically the focus, for the next year, will be to develop a robust training program for our senior leaders and support the deployment of various enablers that will drive expected behaviors of our renewed culture.
Reporting to the VP - Transformation, culture and leadership development, you will work with various stakeholders including senior leadership teams to understand needs and propose innovative solutions. You will make sure your initiatives are connected to BDC’s renewed ambition, to our culture and expected leadership behaviors. You will also be responsible for managing a dynamic team of senior advisors, advisors, and coordinators.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Build strategies to promote leadership development; actively contribute to the design, planning, implementation, and measurement of our programs and ensuring an exceptional participant experience.
Develop and maintain a strong network of business relationships that will facilitate the achievements of our goals.
Work closely with senior management teams to identify and address organizational needs, using your experience and insights to facilitate the discussions.
Create and cultivate a diverse and strategic network of external partners and providers to deliver on targeted initiatives.
Take charge of managing a public Request for Proposal (RFP) and be actively involved in our internal procurement processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a key role in the culture activation activities, supporting the various enablers deployment, and driving the culture maturity evolution with metrics and key objectives.
Maintain open and transparent communication channels with senior management teams by reporting back on the progress of all initiatives, ensuring that they are aware of the organization’s successes, risks, and areas for improvement.
Keep abreast of the latest trends and approaches to leadership development, learning, as well as culture, and use your knowledge to contribute to the development of the practice.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business administration, human resources, Learning, and or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
15 + years of experience in leadership learning program design, development, and deployment in a large size company context.
Experience leading culture evolution projects
Proven ability to lead and manage a team: including the ability to communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback.
Excellent business acumen, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Excellent project management skills; led complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to foster a culture of courage, innovation, and creativity; this requires the ability to encourage risk-taking, experimentation, and out-of-the-box thinking.
Excellent verbal and written communication in both official languages (English & French)
