Prospr is Sun Life's digital front door for Canadians — startup velocity inside a Fortune 500. We're revolutionizing how Canadians access insurance and wealth solutions by building a platform that lets people buy products the way they want to: online in minutes or virtually via a team of trusted, licensed Advisors.

The Role

You own outcomes—end to end.

As a Digital Product Manager, you own the end-to-end product lifecycle, strategy, execution, and commercial impact for your product domain. You set the product vision and define KPIs—then remove friction so your engineering and design squads can ship innovative experiences to help our clients reach their goals.

You'll operate with the velocity and accountability of a tech startup while navigating enterprise systems and stakeholders. You'll challenge the status quo, build a high-performance, product-led culture, and prove Sun Life can move as fast as the InsurTech competitors we're taking on.

What You'll Do

You set the product strategy and define success metrics—then make it easy for your squads to build and ship.

  • Squad Leadership: You lead cross-functional squads of engineers, designers, and data analysts toward a unified vision.

  • Autonomous Execution: Teams operate autonomously without constant escalation, driven by clear product requirements.

  • Stakeholder Trust: Leadership trusts your judgment, product roadmap commitments, and strategic alignment.

  • Scalable Systems: You have built a product ecosystem that scales customer growth without performance bottlenecks.

  • Commercial Metrics: You are accountable for product outcomes tied to user acquisition, engagement, and business performance.

  • Data-Driven Cadence: You define and track product usage, adoption, and operational metrics to ensure predictable growth.

  • Strategic Partnership: You partner with engineering and design leaders on platform strategy and technical trade-offs.

  • Product Leader: Product manager from product-driven companies—tech startups, scale-ups, or high-velocity digital product orgs.

  • Strategic Executioner: Strategic but execution-focused—you set direction, empower teams, and stay close to delivery using data to drive decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Champion: Strong collaborator—you build a strong culture, develop shared understanding, and hold high quality standards.

  • Technically Credible: Understands complex architectures, can navigate AI/technical constraints, and effectively challenges engineering trade-offs.

  • Thrives in Ambiguity: Comfortable navigating both startup chaos and enterprise constraints to deliver results.

  • Ownership Mentality: Accountable for commercial and user outcomes, not just shipping features or outputs.

  • Startup DNA: You've competed against InsurTech/FinTech players and know what it takes to win.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of professional digital product management experience, with specific expertise in direct-to-consumer (D2C) solutions.

  • Demonstrated success owning end-to-end product lifecycles (ideation to  planning to build to launch to optimization) with measurable business growth.

  • Strong technical and UX breadth: Ability to partner deeply with engineering on complex integrations and with design on seamless user journeys.

  • Experience running an agile product cadence: Prioritization, roadmap planning, dependency mapping, and user testing.

  • Data fluency: Proven ability to translate business goals into actionable product KPIs, tracking metrics to drive continuous improvements.

  • Stakeholder management: Experience partnering with senior leadership to navigate risk, legal/compliance, and timelines in a complex environment.

L’échelle du salaire de base est pour l’emplacement principal du poste affiché. Elle peut varier selon l’emplacement du candidat sélectionné et d’autres facteurs. En plus du salaire de base, les employés admissibles de la Sun Life participent à différents programmes de rémunération incitative, dont le montant octroyé est discrétionnaire et dépend du rendement de l’employé et de la compagnie.
