What is the opportunity?


As a Software Developer, you will support the Interim Solutions team design and build temporary electronic solutions and processes within Canadian Wealth Management Operations. You will utilize your expert programming skills in C#, VBA, VBScript and SQL to improve our existing Interim Solutions to meet business requirements.

 

What will you do?

  • Receive business requirements from the lead Interim Solutions Analyst and/or Manager and develop the solution code to specs
  • Convert requirements into coded proofs of concept by using various different technologies within the RBC software development lifecycle
  • Writing Code in VBA, C#, VBScript
  • Design and write SQL
  • Interpret existing code and be able to support existing tools.
  • Continuously improve business knowledge and technical

 

 What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • High level programming and related technical skills (3 years Minimum)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent Knowledge of VBA, C #, SQL
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of solving complex and ambiguous technical problems
  • Must be collaborative and have a strong sense of teamwork

 

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Brokerage Industry, especially back office functions
  • Working knowledge of other programming languages and programming platforms
