The Opportunity:

You will complement our existing Ontario based environmental remediation team and will assist the Project Manager in developing remediation designs and assisting with the execution of remediation strategies and activities at our client sites

A day in the life:

  • You'll be designing and helping to execute remediation plans for our client.
  • You’ll conduct remediation feasibility studies, remedial investigations, detailed remedial design and planning, quantity and cost estimating, preparation of construction documents and scheduling
  • You’ll produce technical design reports and prepare construction documents

What you'll bring to WSP ...

  • BS degree in Civii/Chemical/Geological/Environmental Engineering [advanced degree(s) preferred)
  • 10 + years of related experience in consulting engineering firm and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Must be licensed P. Eng with Professional Engineers Ontario
  • Experience with large environmental assessment and remediation projects (experience with remediation and management of radiological wastes is preferred)
  • Experience working with diverse (both technically and geographically) project teams
  • Experience with remediation feasibility studies, remedial investigation, detailed remedial design and planning, quantity and cost estimating, preparation of construction documents and specifications
  • Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervisions and directions
  • Demonstrated professional judgement, consistency and attention to detail, track record of quality work products
  • Demonstrated performance of independent analysis, problem solving and strong organization skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge.
  • Strong personal safety culture
  • Experience overseeing remedial construction
  • Will need to obtain Canadian Federal Security Clearance
