Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Marketing Department in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
This role requires a sound knowledge of Database Marketing and CRM concepts and programs, the organization's products, database structures and campaign management tools for multi-channel inbound and outbound communications. The role will work closely with key stakeholders within Marketing and the different Business Lines to deliver client-centric communication strategies.
Accountabilities
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• The role is responsible for the scoping, development and execution of marketing campaigns. Marketing campaigns include Cross sell, Upsell, Engagement, Growth and Retention programs and supporting Acquisition tactics.
• A key component for the role is to unify inbound/outbound communications to both the existing client base and prospects through relevant communication channels in support of the different Lines of Business.
• In addition, this role will have the added responsibility of overseeing and managing the Email Marketing Platform. This includes the responsibility for scheduling, tracking, reporting and optimizing performance for all email communications aligned to Tangerine’s business objectives.
• Manage the Email Marketing communications to the client base using Tangerine’s email platform – ensuring we deliver an upmost client experience.
• Develop robust A/B and MVT testing programs to optimize engagement and revenue employing a rigorous test, measure and iterate approach to drive continuous improvement.
• Drive the creation and implementation of new automated email programs working closely with Journey Managers and other key stakeholders.
• Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing productivity of our email sends.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience
o University or College Degree
o Minimum 3 years of work experience
o Experience in direct response/database marketing (inbound and outbound)
Technical Skills
o SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, Marketing Automation CMT)
o Unica or Acoustic campaign management platforms
o Knowledge of proprietary databases and warehouse structures
o Demonstrated analytical ability
o Familiarity with HTML/CSS to design responsive, conversion-focused email templates and landing pages
