Reporting to the Lead, Corporate Recruitment, the Corporate Recruiter is responsible for supporting end-to-end full-cycle recruitment for Teck’s corporate group, with a focus on supporting our Projects, Exploration, Technical Services, and Financial Services teams. In this exciting new role, you will work with a multifaceted, enthusiastic, and collaborative team of professionals to fill vacancies across our operations and improve recruitment efficiencies.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with outstanding problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, who is comfortable building rapport with multiple stakeholders and client groups. Someone who is organized has outstanding attention to detail and can work with integrity to expertly handle confidential material. The ideal candidate can work independently, as well as collaborate with a team, and can prioritize contending demands in a fast-paced environment.

This role is an initial 6 month contract and preferably hybrid based out of our Vancouver office but accommodations can be made for remote work if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Apply the full recruitment lifecycle to ensure the highest quality of candidates are placed
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Hiring Managers and Human Resources
• Maintain computer-based applicant tracking system and tools
• Cultivate relationships with candidates through discovery calls, phone screenings, and interviews
• Ensure recruitment activities are carried out in compliance with Canadian law
• Remain current on recruitment market insights and trends for specialized roles
• This position is remote but mainly supports our Vancouver office

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• Minimum three years of demonstrated ability in a recruitment role, ideally within an industrial environment
• Experience recruiting Engineering, Technical, Project Management, and/or Finance professionals is an asset
• Strong digital literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
