The Melville School of Business offers courses online as well as in-person, with in-person classes provided at all five campuses of Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Richmond, Surrey, Cloverdale, Surrey Civic Plaza, and Langley).
The Melville School of Business at Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking to add qualified Computer Business System [CBSY] faculty members commencing January 1, 2024. Successful candidates may be required to teach one or more CBSY courses in support of our diploma and baccalaureate degree programs. The ability to teach using online and in-person delivery modes for one or more of the following courses is required:
- CBSY 1105 – Computer Business Applications
- CBSY 1110 – Business Problem Solving with Spreadsheets
- CBSY 2205 – Management Information Systems
- CBSY 2306 – Accounting Systems and Advanced Reporting Applications

Minimum required qualifications include:
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree
- At least 3 years directly related work experience. (Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity with current business communications technology)
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
CPA designation is an asset for teaching the Accounting Systems course. Preference will be given to applicants that can demonstrate academic and/or industry current body of knowledge in the above areas.
As KPU prioritizes teaching excellence, experience teaching at the university level in a small-class, student-centered environment is a strong asset. Proven experience in successful community engagement, with both internal and external stakeholders is also considered a strong asset.
