Are you a commodity tax professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, fast paced environment? If so, this job is for you! The commodity tax advisor will be regularly exposed to a wide range of commodity taxes in both a compliance and advisory support capacity.Minimum Requirements:
Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Two years of Canadian commodity tax compliance experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel
Ability to work with minimum supervision in a deadline driven environment
Responsibilities:
Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns including those for fuel tax, excise tax, carbon tax, sales tax and GST/HST, among others
Provision of commodity tax advice to internal stakeholders
Supports commodity tax team members to administer commodity tax compliance activities and to respond to regulatory audit inquiries including data extraction
Location and other Key Details:
This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
