Adecco presents an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's dynamic team in the natural gas industry as a temporary, full-time Commercial Analyst. As a Commercial Analyst, your role will be both challenging and rewarding. You will be responsible for processing and revising supply transactions, overseeing product movement, managing billing processes, and handling errors from the source system. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in the SMS day-close processes and data transfer to SAP. Collaboration is key in this role, as you'll work closely with Retail Operations, Supply and Logistics, and other internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve imbalances and other issues. Your objective is to deliver accuracy and insights into financial records through best-practice processes, enhance data transparency and availability, and provide focused and effective control framework management.
The ideal candidate for this exceptional opportunity should have a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting inventory management, with specific experience in trading or marketing accounting being a requirement. Furthermore, you should have at least 2 years of experience in navigating and preparing crude oil pricing invoices and payment statements for Crude Oil Marketing-related business.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and process daily EDI files from Cenovus and third-party terminals
Process daily, weekly, and monthly invoicing to customers
Reconcile AP invoices at a transactional level and submit for payment
Research and investigate issues, answer queries, and follow up on outstanding issues with various departments across Downstream
Prepare monthly KPI reports, process documentation and evidence to support internal and external control requirements and audit reviews
Assist and work on ad-hoc requests and projects to support the business
Key Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Must Have Adult Learning certifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Finance, marketing or Economics.
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting inventory management.
Experience in trading or marketing accounting is required
Must have min 2 years of experience in navigating and preparing crude oil pricing invoices and payment statements for Crude Oil Marketing related business.
Advanced Excel and other computer skills with the ability to work within
Advanced understanding of computer file movement between systems
Experience with ERP and ETRM systems
Experience with inventory management
