If you are experienced in managing key IT enterprise collaboration and directory services operations, in partnership with offshore service providers, then we have an excellent opportunity for you! In this role, you will work with multiple internal teams and external vendors to provide operational strategies and plans for service improvements and participate in exciting projects, such as the enterprise roll out of Office 365.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Operate Suncor’s collaboration and directory services, in support of our global operations supporting 18,000 users
  • Responsible for the delivery of engineering services through an outsource partner including:
    • Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management
    • Service Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Performance and Capacity Management
  • Identify operational excellence (process and efficiency) improvements, supporting opportunities for cost optimization
  • Act as an escalation point and subject matter expert for our integration and technical support groups
  • Engage in auditing and regulatory compliance activities (SOX, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR)

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • 10 years of collaboration, directory services and infrastructure operations experience including working with offshore resources
  • A Computer Science degree or Technical College diploma (i.e. S.A.I.T.)
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD and Exchange Online
  • Strong foundation of Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management
  • The ability to work effectively with various sizes of highly focused and geographically dispersed teams
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a team based, customer centered environment
  • Alignment with our values

Preference for:

  • Experience in Oil and Gas

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W. or our Downstream head office in Mississauga, located at 2489 North Sheridan Way
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
