Your Opportunity

Our Winnipeg office is looking for Summer Students to join our Community Development Team for a 6-month work term from May 1, 2023– October 27, 2023.

As a Summer Student, you will be working with project teams, to coordinate daily onsite construction activities and to ensure that infrastructure projects are completed as per design and design specifications. You must be very attentive to detail, well organized, have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks as required. You must be committed to teamwork, as you may be working with multiple project teams on multiple infrastructure projects, in a very fast paced and dynamic work environment.

COMPENSATION: Starting @ $20.00/hr. approx., term May – October 2023 approx., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 5 days per week (overtime maybe required)

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Successful completion of 1 st year Civil Technology as a minimum.

* Physically able to work on construction sites in all types of weather conditions

* Proven ability to learn and take direction

* Valid driver’s license and vehicle required

JOB DESCRIPTION :

* Assist on a survey field crew

* Maintain and operate survey equipment

* Transport survey equipment on the job site

* Working outside the City of Winnipeg and its environs for extended periods may be required
