Claims Customer Service Agent
Department: Accounting - Shared Services
Location: Centre de distribution, 5540, rue Ernest-Cormier, Laval (Québec) H7C 2T1
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hybrid mode: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely
Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Agent acts as the first point of contact for operators and customers in all matters related to insurance claims. The Agent handles claims for bodily injury, breakage or damage to company property/buildings or third party property as well as fleet claims.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better:
Act as a contact person for operators in the event of a bodily injury claims, damage to the company property/building, third-party property damages as well as car fleet claims ;
Coordinate claim files according to established protocols (e.g. billing and/or reimbursement);
Follow up with operations, clients and insurer and/or claims adjuster;
Handle telephone complaints related to customer service claims;
Synthesize the documents necessary for the production of various statistical reports;
Answer calls and emails;
Provide administrative support to the Insurance and Claims department;
Intervene and deal with the various parties involved.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for:
DEC in secretary or administration;
Minimum of one year of relevant experience in customer service (telephone);
Experience in administrative support (asset);
Experience in the insurance industry and in the management of claims files and knowledge of Report Excel will be considered an asset.
Knowledge and skills:
Excellent command of the Office suite;
Rigor, organizational skills and ability to manage priorities;
Strong aptitude for customer service and negotiation.
Bilingual (French and English)
