Teck is currently accepting applications for the position of Carpenter Apprentice. Teck recruits proactively to build a talent pool for current and/or future opportunities.
Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, Carpenter Apprentices work alongside Red Seal Carpenters with tasks related to carpentry.
Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Inspect and conduct various carpentry repairs
- Measure, cut and shape lumber, wood, and other building materials
- Build and install concrete walls
- Preparing surfaces and laying tile
Qualifications:
- Registered 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Carpenter Apprentice
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
