Position Summary...The Senior Manager, Health Innovation is key role responsible for driving the transformation of Walmart’s Health portfolio. This role will provide deep subject matter expertise regarding Pharmacy, Optical, Primary care required to shape the Health strategy, vision, and prioritization of strategic projects, with the goal of unlocking billions of dollars of incremental sales. The primary focus of this position will be to shape and lead projects related to the implementation of innovation across all stores in the Canadian market.
What you'll do...
1 As a seasoned Pharmacist, provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise regarding Pharmacy Operations and regulatory guidelines to in-year Health transformation initiatives like Digital Pharmacy and launch of e-prescriptions. This guidance will be critical to ensure the product features are scoped & developed within approved standards as prescribed by colleges of Pharmacy across all provinces.
2 Responsible for development of business cases for new initiatives and for providing critical assumptions / analytics while working in close collaboration with Finance team. Presents business case to SVP Health and Health Leadership team. Ensure that the ROI metrics from strategic projects are factored into AOP / fiscal planning for Health.
3 Provides critical inputs and guidance across all stages of project evolution including legal contract negotiations, project planning, implementation plan, customer marketing and project OKRs to measure project success.
4 Leads all discussions with Privacy and Compliance teams to get their feedback / approval on Health innovation and ensures all decisions are reflected in the final product.
5 Collaborates with Technology team regarding development of all product features, functionalities and customer facing content.
6 Manage and perform UAT for Digital Pharmacy, e-prescriptions and other innovation before launch. Ensures best in class product is developed and maintained.
7 Liaison between Health Transformation project teams and Pharmacy & Optical Field & Central Ops teams. Leads the successful launch and on time execution of transformation initiatives across all stores including delivery of signage, customer communications, store training materials. Ensures successful training, change management and adoption of the new products across the organization.
8 Partners with Central Ops and Finance team to ensure regular reporting of OKRs post launch and ensures the business case objectives like new customer acquisition, incremental Sales and market share are being tracked and successfully delivered. If the original objectives are not being met, develops mitigation steps for course correction.
9 Champions customer experience and feedback on new product launches. Reflects learnings and feedback to shape the future direction of Health Strategy and prioritization of initiatives for upcoming fiscal years.
