The Role:

The Business Solutions Expert is a senior technical contributor with expertise in specific business domain and processes. The BSE will interface with all levels of the business and technology to understand current business processes and systems to identify solutions in alignment with business and technology vision and strategy.

 

The BSE will work with business and technology teams to gather requirements, map business process as well as systems and facilitate business and IT collaborations. The incumbent will possess full technical knowledge on all phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application to the current and future business environment.

 

Is this role right for you?

  • Understands the business from several points of view and aligns IT&S systems and processes to address critical information and automation requirements.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of specific business line solutions for projects, supporting highly complex business applications with complex integration needs across multiple technology disciplines.
  • Formulates and defines information systems scope, and objectives based on a thorough understanding of the requirements of the specific business line.
  • Participates in all phases of the IT System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Acts as a liaison between developers and business team members. Provides timely project status updates to the Project Manager; identifying/reporting project risks as early as possible and proactively mitigating project risks as identified

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • 10 to 15 years of IT and business industry work experience, which includes at least 3 years of experience in managing teams or projects. Typically requires advanced technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines, technologies, and processes.
  • Knowledge in very complex business and technical processes and their implications across the enterprise.
  • Knowledge in project management disciplines/protocols.
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management would be an asset
