Job Description

 WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The RBC Capital Markets Trading & Execution Services (TES) team is looking for a business manager to join an established team to assist with the business management activities within the group.   The team plays an important role supporting the delivery and program management of the strategic objectives and existing technology estate management utilized by the Capital Markets Trading and Execution teams.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Assist in the day to day management of TES Portfolio including:

  • Fiscal Planning and Tracking for overall Portfolio

  • Yearly PAR Project Schedule Planning/Monitoring

  • Coordination of Planned Open Hires and Onboarding

  • Management of Vendor Contracts and Associated Costs

  • Coordination of Special Projects focused on Cost Analysis, Strategic, Risk Management, and Corporate Culture initiatives

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.

  • Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.

  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have: 

  • CA, CGA, CMA, CPA designation or Bookkeeper Certification

  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers

  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses

  • Strong understanding of financial principles (e.g. capitalization, depreciation, amortization, etc.)
