About the Role:
The Brand Marketing Specialist plays a key supporting or partial lead role in the development and execution of our marketing campaigns and initiatives. Reporting to Senior Marketing Manager, the Specialist supports cross-functional campaign teams through consumer and customer insights, providing project leadership, and owning the flawless execution of strategic marketing initiatives.

About the OTC & CI Team:
Over-the-Counter (OTC) and Community Investment (CI) Marketing Team accelerates the strategic growth of Shoppers Drug Mart’s core multibillion-dollar OTC (Over-the-Counter/non-prescription drugs) portfolio and the marketing and fundraising activities of our corporate foundation, Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health, by bringing consumer-centric and data-driven marketing strategies and insights.
Your Core Responsibilities:
Drive Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Play key supporting or partial lead role in the briefing, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and inter-disciplinary agency teams to drive strategic alignment, ensure seamless collaboration across functions, and drive successful execution of campaigns.
Vendor Relationships and Shopper Marketing Partnerships: Develop relationships with leading CPG vendors to drive deeper partnerships through shopper marketing integrations, and ensure flawless execution of vendors’ shopper marketing programs.
Purpose-Driven Marketing through Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health: Help build the newly-launched Shoppers Foundation brand as well as the Shoppers Drug Mart masterbrand, rallying millions of Canadians around causes that matter to the Shoppers brand and colleagues, and bring our brand purpose to life.
Day-to-Day Admin Support and Budget Management: Oversee campaign budgets to ensure campaigns are delivered in full against the planned budget. Manage vendor billings and invoices on-time and on-budget. Be an expert user of internal systems and data entries critical to successful campaign operations.

Who we’re looking for:
1 – 3 years of brand marketing experience in retail or consumer goods, or other related strategic fields
Sales experience is an asset
Post-secondary education in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field
Consumer and customer-obsessed, with a passion for brand building
Strategic thinker with a curious mindset, thinks of questions before answers
Data-driven storyteller who can draw human insights from various data sources
Track record of taking initiative and navigating through ambiguity
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
