The BlackBerry QNX product Security Operations (Secops) team is growing. We need talented embedded software developers with an interest in working with advanced technology to help with securing our products.
Job Duties
• Understand and take ownership of vulnerability reports, determine root cause then communicate details and urgency clearly to stakeholders
• Provide guidance and support to product teams in the development of their work products in compliance with ISO 21434
• Provide product security support to internal and external stakeholders
• Work with development teams, and project managers to bring security incidents to a conclusion
• Work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proposes improvements to security operations processes
Required Skill and Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in embedded software development with C/C++/Python
• Basic knowledge of ISO 21434 and/or UNECE WP.29 R155 is preferred
• Understanding of embedded operating systems and principles of security
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to ASPICE and ISO26262
• Experience working within a product security team
Assets
• Excellent communication skills
• Technical understanding of first.org principles and terms and how they work
• Self-motivation, tenacity, and determination are very useful in this position
• Must be able to work without supervision
