Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Responsible for reconciling physician claims while providing excellent service. You will use your billing knowledge to assist physicians in getting their claims paid, through claims management, reconciliation with MSP and one on one communication.

About Dr. Bill: Dr. Bill is a RBC Ventures company who are working to make medical billing easy for Canadian physicians. You’ll join as an employee of RBC and get all the perks of working for a big company, but with a start-up mind-set and the agility to move quickly.

What will you do?

  • Reconcile medical claims after remittance (MSP, WSBC, ICBC, Blue Cross, UHIP)

  • Stay up to date with ICD-09 billing codes and rules so we are providing the most recent information and advice to physicians

  • Provide assistance to physicians and clinics regarding connecting their accounts to Dr. Bill

  • Telephone support through scheduled phone calls

  • Upload and manually enter claims submitted by physicians

  • Work cross functionally with other teams to support our users’ needs

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • A minimum of 1 year medical billing experience, including claims reconciliation
  • Client first mindset, with the ability to effectively resolve customer issues and requests
  • Strong technical aptitude, which includes familiarity with medical billing softwares (EMRs), knowledge of Microsoft and Google Docs programs, and an in depth knowledge of the MSC Payment Schedule of Benefits

Nice to have

  • Remote work experience
  • Experience using Slack, Intercom, Zendesk, Jira
  • Medical Billing/MOA certificate
