What You’ll Do
- Provide operational support rooted in industry-standard processes, applying expertise in managing cloud environments.
- Lead all aspects of and optimize a growing AWS environment, ensuring consistency to strict SLAs for critical applications.
- Perform dynamic system setup, administration, configuration, and implement automated solutions.
- Resolve multifaceted technical issues efficiently, serving as a top-level partner concern resource.
- Communicate effectively with peers and end-users during solving, planning, migrations, and other critical phases.
- Complete server and application deployments, configurations, updates, and continuous improvements.
- Conduct functionality and security audits, providing strategic technology recommendations.
- Define, document, and improve IT architecture and designs aligned with ITIL standard processes.
- Engage with professional organizations, user groups, and industry trade groups to stay ahead of evolving technologies.
What You Bring to the Role
- Minimum 5 years of proven expertise in building and managing AWS environments and Linux system administration.
- Proficient in AWS resources, including cost optimization, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
- Expertise in leading DEV, QA, and production environments with a demonstrable understanding of software development processes.
- Required certifications: Red Hat or other Linux certification, AWS Cloud Practitioner.
- Must hold either AWS Certified Administrator Associate or AWS Solution Architect Professional certification.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking and organizational skills, as well as the capability to record and prioritize numerous tasks.

- Proficient problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-functional, distributed team.
- Proven capability to establish processes, document work thoroughly, and apply knowledge of networking and security concepts.
- Hands-on technical expertise (L2 level or higher) with a meticulous approach.
Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an Onsite position requiring 2 days a week in a client office in Mississauga, ON or Halifax, NS Canada.
