A day in the life:

  • Responsible for programming, definition of technical characteristics and commissioning as part of tailor-made automation solutions;

  • Carry out the design and preparation of technical documents (Functional Description, Electrical Drawings, and Data Sheets) for PLC projects and programming such as manufacturing cell automation in the manufacturing sector;

  • Programming and commissioning of PLC and HMI systems;

  • Master real-time machine control techniques using PC and PLC platforms;

  • Excellent knowledge of computer, server / client systems and process network to deliver integrated solutions; Identification and consultation of potential suppliers;

  • Solve problems using a variety of known or innovative methods and techniques and make comparative studies;

  • Evaluate client satisfaction and maintain close relationships with the client;

  • Perform inspections or technical surveys;

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise site monitoring.

What sets you apart ...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any related degree

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience as Automation / Instrumentation Engineer or equivalent combination of training and experience;

  • Knowledge of principal PLC and SCADA platform: Siemens, Wondeware, Allen Bradley, Omron etc .;

  • Work experience in automation in different areas (asset);

  • Expertise in PLC programming, HMI, DCS in various programming languages;

  • Strong skills for the continuous development of technical knowledge;

  • Proficient in project management, technical writing and complex problem solving independently;

  • Pertinent experience in object oriented and .NET (C#), pyton programming;

  • Pertinent experience MS SQL Server and SQL stored procedures programming;

  • Pertinent experience with different Windows Systems layers;

  • Skills to work with Serial, OPC and ODBC interfaces.
