Workplace: Montreal (2020, Robert-Bourassa Blvd.)
We are currently looking for a level 2 (intermediary) test analyst for our Software Development department. This person will play a critical role as part of a multidisciplinary agile/scrum team, working mainly on our claims management web projects.Reporting to the Software Development Manager, the test analyst, whether involving system performance or corrective action, is called upon to look for innovative solutions and ensure the quality of applications.
Main Responsabilities:
Requirements analysis

Understand the technical and business features of the systems
Clarify requirements, as necessary
Produce test estimates according to requirements
Analyze the impacts on our automated scripts

 Test case writing / running

Write and maintain functional system test cases
Detect anomalies and weaknesses in the different applications
Manage and keep up-to-date test data
Run different tests (manual, automated, etc.) using different tools, identify and document anomalies according to the established procedure, and follow up on corrective actions

Governance & practice

Apply the standards of IT testing practice
Ensure compliance with IFC standards and methods at all times
Ensure quality control and that tests are performed according to current practices
Share the expertise and best practices to different teams and colleagues
Monitor and improve the practice

Documentation

Create and maintain the IT testing practice documentation, as necessary
Contribute to the development of the test strategy
Produce and/or validate the various reports (progress status, dashboard, etc.)
Lead and/or participate in the various meetings required (Workshop, Sprint, etc.)
Document all types of tests (web services, security, UI, processes, performance and others) related to the IT testing process

Coaching, governance & technical leadership

Manage the re-use of automated tests
Keep abreast of new technologies and relevant evolutions in software development
Share the expertise on systems, processes, technologies and evolving standards and best practices, improve and optimize test processes or tools
Demonstrate leadership and get project colleagues to follow your lead
Be proactive with business units and become a key collaborator in Quality Assurance
Familiarize other teams with our test processes and get them to adopt them
Support the different releases in our environments 

Your Skills

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Must be bilingual (English and French)
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position

Specific experience - Assets:

Experience reading use cases and story boards
Experience and knowledge of P&C insurance applications
Knowledge of the Agile development environment
Experience and knowledge of web applications
Experience in software development
Knowledge of XML, SQL, SoapUI, BDD
Knowledge of web and database technologies
Knowledge of HP ALM, MS Visio, Selenium tools
