The Opportunity

As an Associate Software Tester, you will be responsible for analyzing, testing, and delivering new or enhanced systems and applications in Solution and Quality Engineering.

Who you'll work with

You will report to Manager, Solution & Quality Engineering, and collaborate with a talented cross functional team including other software developers, quality engineers and end users.

What you'll do

  • Directly participate in Project Planning as well as requirements gathering, test plan creation, automation of software development, test plan execution, results analysis, root cause identification, and ensuring sufficient code coverage

  • Perform Impact Analysis of plan or policy changes on test cases in regression

  • Address regression failures and investigate production issues

  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of quality standards

  • Track and prioritize application problems with Service Delivery team 

  • Obtain guidance from the Project and extended team as required

  • Develop/communicate personal work plan and the task details appropriate for the on-time completion of all work assignments

  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline preferred

  • Basic understanding of programming code (Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)

  • Experience with automation tools (TestNG, Selenium, JUnit)

  • Experience working collaboratively in an Agile process environment

  • Experience with GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Sonar

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work somewhat independently, to prioritize work assignments, to meet deadlines and produce an adequate volume of work

  • Ability to apply testing standards, risk methodologies and adapt testing practices with new technologies
