As an Associate or Associate Director in the Risk Management Solutions team at National Bank Financial Markets, you will be a key member of a client facing sales team. You will have a mandate to cover existing clients, prepare client presentations, price and execute FX derivative transactions and generally support the group’s origination and sales efforts.

Your job:
- Assume day-to-day coverage of an existing book of Corporate FX clients, providing timely and consistent market commentary, preparing client presentations, pricing and executing derivative transactions and generally supporting the groups origination and sales efforts
- Identify, structure and pitch customized hedging solutions for clients
- Focus on business development, client onboarding and sales and origination growth of the business
- Assess credit valuations adjustments and perform potential future exposure calculations as required
- Develop new products, pricing tools etc
- Collaborate with colleagues in Corporate Investment Banking, Credit Capital Markets, ECM, DCM and RMS to identify cross-asset coverage and business development opportunities
- Develop and maintain internal relationships with key stakeholder in operations, credit and legal
Your team:
You will report to the Managing Director, Risk Management Solutions in Toronto. The Risk Management Solutions (FX Derivative Sales) group is responsible for developing and originating FX derivative transactions for National Bank of Canada’s existing and prospective clients in Canada and the United States. The group works closely with National Bank Financial Markets’ credit capital markets, debt and equity capital markets and investment banking teams.
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum while a Master’s degree or a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation are strong assets
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience working full time in financial markets and or corporate finance roles
- Experience with or knowledge of FX options
- Client facing experience
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong quantitative skills, is mathematically inclined with a natural interest in economics and financial markets
- Knowledgeable and comfortable working with financial statements
- Possesses a natural sense of curiosity, likes to understand “why”
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity with a proven ability to engage and communicate with highly skilled clients
