BCIT’s School of Health Sciences is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.1 FTE) Assistant Instructor, Prosthetics and Orthotics. The Assistant Instructor will support the delivery of hands-on prosthetic fabrication instruction within the Prosthetics and Orthotics program. Working under the direction of faculty and in collaboration with the program's Registered Prosthetic Technician, the successful candidate will assist with the preparation, demonstration, supervision, and cleanup of fabrication laboratory activities. Workload will vary according to course scheduling and fabrication activities and will require flexibility. Scheduled work may consist of full-day (7-hour) or half-day (3.5-hour) shifts during designated laboratory sessions throughout the Fall term.
