As part of the Regional Automation and Application Service team, you will have the opportunity to put your IT- related knowledge into practice and work with new technology to hone your skills and work with great people every single day.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Oversee service order and assignments and ensure timely completion of clients requests
  • Prioritize and solve application -related issues
  • Provide HTML5 /.NET / Javascript Application support
  • Develop XHQ and support OPM dashboards as well as operational displays
  • Provide front line application support for a variety of plant, mine and laboratory operations

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Current enrolment in a formal co-op/internship program in Information Technology at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term

Preference for:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Superb communication, analytical and decision making skills
  • Strong Microsoft applications skills
  • Knowledge of VB/C#.NET, ASP.Net, HTML5, Javascript and SQL

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Base Plant Business Area in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.
  • This is a 12-month term, starting September 2019
