Job Description

The incumbent prepares regulatory reports based on regulatory requirements and prescribed deadlines. He or she produces financial reports, conducts various analyses, and clarifies discrepancies. In addition, the incumbent makes recommendations to improve the regulatory reporting processes and actively participates in their implementation. He or she also participates in the financial reporting process in accordance with current accounting standards and industry guidelines.

Responsibilities


º Plan and coordinate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports according to prescribed deadlines.
º Produce and update these monthly, quarterly, and annual reports within the prescribed deadlines in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
º Incorporate new regulatory guidelines into the reports.
º Check data and reports for compliance with standards and makes corrections where necessary.
º Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports (including those prepared by other business units) to the regulators.
º Analyze and interpret data, clarify discrepancies, and assess the impacts.
º Participate in the quarterly and annual financial reporting process by preparing the financial statements, financial results presentations, and other documents.
º Maintain communications with internal and external stakeholders involved in the processes.
º Assist in drafting policies and procedures related to the processing of accounting and control activities in his or her business unit.
º Act as an advisor in his or her field of expertise to people in the Bank's other business units.
º Stay up to date with the guidelines issued by regulators and the Bank's policies, programs, and procedures.
º Make recommendations to improve the work process, particularly with regard to information systems.
º Lead various projects related to the activities of his or her business unit, at his or her superior's request.
º Perform all tasks of similar or general nature requested by his or her superior or required for the job.

Qualifications


º University degree in a relevant field and two to four years of experience
º Specific competencies:
º Advanced knowledge of Excel
º Ability to work in a complex technological environment that involves mainframe computer systems
º Ability to work with English documents
º Accurate, thorough, and meticulous
º Ability to manage deadlines
