Reconciliation Analyst

Department: Accounting
Location : Laval (4204, boul. Industriel, Laval)
Hybrid mode : 3 days at the Laval office and 2 days remotely
Type of employment : Permanent , Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Payment Reconciliation Accounting Supervisor, as part of the Operational Accounting team, the Reconciliation Accounting Analyst will provide accounting support services to the stores under his/her responsibility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Here are some ways you can make a difference:
- Reconcile, at each fiscal period, the general ledger accounts related to the electronic payment methods accepted in stores
- Record entries for bank deposits, card fees, equipment costs, chargeback expenses, etc
- Responsible for explaining and justifying the various discrepancies relating to the payment methods accepted in-store for third-party billing. Responsible for taking steps to recover amounts not received.
- Responsible for the chargeback process
- In charge of ordering in-store payment terminals
- Responsible for replacing and deactivating certain types of cards
- Participate in the continuous improvement of processes related to this position
- Provide accounting support to store employees and accounting team
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting OR equivalent experience
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role
Knowledge and skills :
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to manage several files;
- Be meticulous, autonomous, show initiative and have good analytical skills;
- Ability to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Customer service skills;
- Knowledge of PDI software will be considered an asset.Team player.
- Knowledge of the ReconNet application will be considered an asset.
Language skills :
Bilingualism required (French and English), both written and spoken, as the person will be required to serve English-speaking regions.
