A day in the life:
- Work with other M&A team members on analyzing potential acquisitions / divestitures for all our business groups (both in Canada and internationally)
- Develop financial valuation models for target companies (DCF, comparable transactions and valuation multiples, identification and determination of potential synergies)
- Coordinate and participate in due diligence process
- Collaborate on reports and presentations summarizing due diligence findings
- Prepare clear and concise executive reports for both internal and Board purposes
- Support the capital structure optimization initiatives, including access to capital markets
- Work closely with the Global Legal department on various agreements
- Act as contact person for external consultants (bankers, lawyers, accountants)
- Prepare and participate in presentations and analysis for Management and the Board
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- University degree in Finance or Accounting
- Accounting designation and/or CFA completed or in progress is an asset
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a corporate environment (preferably in a large international company) or as a professional or consultant in corporate finance, accounting and/or mergers and acquisitions
- Excellent understanding of corporate finance concepts and capital markets
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to communicate effectively, including with senior management
- Good judgement, ability to simplify information in order to streamline the decision process
- Independent, excellent organizational and priority management skills
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Superior verbal and written presentation skills
Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
