Job Description
What will you do?
Build and maintain client relationships with pension funds, asset managers, central banks, bank treasuries, insurance and corporate accounts to increase share of trading activity from both an investment and issuance standpoint.
Market new issues, manage and execute secondary transactions, and generally drive revenue growth and gain market share in line with the business’s strategic priorities across the CAD short end complex.
Proactively monitor relevant markets and put forward commentary and trade ideas across the full spectrum of front end products, including both cash and derivative instruments.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with trading and other internal partners to generate client business and identify opportunities.
Provide backup coverage and support to overall sales team, including trading of Commercial Paper and Asset-Backed Commercial Paper.
Drive cross selling across asset classes, and with our Senior Relationship Management team to deepen partnership approach to clients.
Stay current on all regulatory and structural market changes in order to respond to client’s various requests.
What do you need to succeed?
Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and passion for the Canadian fixed income market.
High intensity approach, professional rigor, sales ownership, ability to set and track key performance metrics.
Ability to collaborate and work within a high-performance team environment.
CSC and CPH required.
