We are currently in search of an Accounting Specialist for our Accounting Consolidation department, who will play an essential role in the support of our growth.
Workplace: Montreal (2020, boul. Robert-Bourassa)
Role:The position holder will participate in the consolidation processes of the different subsidiaries and in the transmission of quality, timely and reliable financial information to Senior management. In addition, the position holder will:
Produce monthly consolidation of the different subsidiaries of Intact Financial Corporation (monthly journal entries, reconciliations of inter-company transactions between the Canadian and American companies, reconciliations of consolidated goodwill and intangibles, etc.)
Participate in the improvement of monthly closing processes to produce quality financial information
Participate in preparing detailed monthly and quarterly analyses, including the monthly analytical review
Participate in preparing quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements of Intact Financial Corporation
Contribute in the facilitation of the audit processes with the internal and external auditors
Produce 52-109 controls to maintain a robust internal-control environment
Collaborate on several projects and complex subjects (accounting for stock-based compensation, company acquisitions and other special transactions)
CPA title (CA, CMA or CGA)
Minimum of five years experience pertinent to complex accounting transactions (e.g. acquisitions, sales, foreign currencies, etc.)
Solid written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with various individuals from all organizational levels, including VP Finance and Controller and certain external stakeholders
Quick learning capacity and high appetite for change
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, and rigor
Leadership and teamwork skills, efficient and autonomous
Ability to work under pressure and handle stress well
Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingual French & English
Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion or of the implementation of these tools are an asset
