ACADEMIC HEMATOLOGIST

Clinician-Educator Faculty Position

 

 

 

The Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences invite applications for an Academic Physician with expertise in Benign Hematology.

 

This is a full-time faculty position for a period of three years (renewable). Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

 

The ideal candidate will have expertise in general consultative hematology in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed 2 years of fellowship training in an area of focused competence (AFC). A graduate degree or additional training in Health Professions/Health Science Education, Health Research Methodology, Quality Improvement, or related scholarly areas is an asset.

 

The successful candidate will be a full-time member of the Division of Hematology & Thromboembolism and will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Faculty and Division. The successful candidate will be expected to fully participate in all appropriate departmental and divisional educational activities.

 

Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.
