The Division of Gynecologic Oncology Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, invites applications for a full-time Academic Gynecologic Oncologist, in the Contractually Limited Appointment category. The successful candidate will join the staff at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. This is a one-year full-time position, starting in 2024, based on candidate availability.
Gynecologic oncology at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre is integrated in a multi-disciplinary group including medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology and radiology. This group is one of the largest of its kind in Canada providing comprehensive care to women with gynecologic malignancies.
The successful candidate will have training and experience in gynecologic oncology. The successful candidate is expected to engage in teaching all levels of learners, including medical students, residents, and clinical fellows. The successful candidate will have subspecialty training beyond residency, with experience and decision-making skills in providing systemic therapy and expertise in the surgical management of patients with pre-invasive disease and gynecologic cancers (including minimally invasive approaches). The candidate will be expected to participate in all relevant departmental and divisional administrative and educational activities. This full-time faculty position is for a period of one-year. Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed in the Province of Ontario.
