Job Description

What is the opportunity? 

Are you interested in the opportunity to work as an Automation Analyst Co-op Student for 8-12 Months? By applying to this job posting, you will be considered for multiple roles available across RBC Technology & Operations!  Please only apply if you’re available for a full 8 or 12 Month term.

What will you do? 

  • Provide governance, support, coaching, code reviews, process design consulting, and build automation solutions

  • Develop solutions to meet clients’ growing needs for automation and enhancing process controls & governance

  • Automate reporting processes by using the combination of tools of Blue Prism, VBA and SQL

  • Apply data warehouse concepts and methodologies to various projects

  • Confirm that projects adhere to development standards and guidelines

What do you need to succeed? 

Must-have 

  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus in industrial engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, business commerce, business administration, finance, or accounting,

  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment

  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast paced environment

  • Advanced MS Office skills in Excel

  • Experience in SQL and or VBA

  

Nice-to-have 

  • Process Expertise: Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt Certification

  • Automation Expertise in one or more of the following: Blue Prism

  • BI Tools including Tableau, Elastic

  • Strong MS Office Skills: Visio, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Prior experience in data integration of disparate data sources

  • Knowledge of design, development, and implementation utilizing current analytics technologies and architecture, as well as data warehouse concepts and methodologies

  • Relational database concepts and design experience

  • Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business and in systems) quickly and apply new knowledge
