The Department of English at Dalhousie University invites applications for a 100%, limited-term position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be tenable for a ten-month term (1 August 2023 to 31 May 2024), and the successful applicant will teach three undergraduate courses in each of the fall and winter semesters.

The successful candidate must hold a PhD in English by the date of the appointment. Experience teaching academic writing to students in health-related fields (e.g., nursing, kinesiology) at the university level is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have teaching or research experience in genre fiction (e.g., gothic, children’s literature, science fiction). The position is subject to budgetary approval.
