What you’ll do
As a Senior Project Manager in IT, you will lead complex IT projects from start to finish by overseeing teams, managing resources, communicating with stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful project delivery within specified constraints while maintaining a budget portfolio.
In this role, you'll:
Be accountable for end to end delivery of projects, with the specified level of quality for the project sponsor, on time and within budget and scope
Identify critical path and determines and integrates milestones, control points, imposed dates and Go/No-go decision points into the schedule
Provide a high level of relationship management; resolving conflicts and enabling discussions amongst stakeholders, management, co-workers and team members with varied interests
Prepare and delivers Executive Level presentations; facilitates workshops; handles complex questions from varied audiences
Prepare status reports and writes clear, concise communications related to complex and/or sensitive issues
Conduct formal risk management sessions, documents and manages risk management plans
What you bring
University Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years experience in managing medium to large complex projects
Core PM competencies: budget and timeline management, scope management, risk management, timely decision-making, effective team building, ability to prioritize and delegate appropriately and deal with changing priorities
Experience in creating project cost benefit analyses, presenting project budgets, assumptions; ability to attend to management queries related to project budget
Excellent people management and leadership skills
Strong experience working with vendors and managing teams in a matrix environment
Prior experience in navigating long run complex projects are an asset
Experience working in web-based, infrastructure, network, cloud, security projects are an asset
Previous work experience at a Financial Institution is considered an asset
PMP or SCRUM Master designation is considered an asset
