MD Management Limited, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Senior Relationship Manager Medicus, MD Financial to join our team.
As a Senior Relationship Manager Medicus, MD Financial, you will contribute to the overall success of MD Financial and Medicus Pension Plan ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Be accountable for supporting the growth of the Medicus Pension Plan, a multi-employer pension plan established for incorporated physicians by supporting advisors and physicians through the education and enrolment process.
- Build and deepen trusting relationships with advisors, accountants and other centres of influence, establishing yourself as a Medicus Pension Plan subject matter expert. Develop a thorough understanding of Medicus and its features and benefits, and how it fits into financial planning, to maximize advisor engagement and ability to successfully position Medicus to clients.
- Increase physician adoption with Medicus by delivering specialized education sessions, including attending and speaking at physician events, including proactive outreach that includes office/regional meetings, regular online/telephone contact, presentations and roadshows.
- Support physicians and advisors with the Medicus enrolment process, providing high touch end-to-end service from prospecting and education, through to completion of enrolment with Medicus.
- Be responsible to test and implement new acquisition and growth strategies within specific regions/market.
- Be responsible for hitting targets and creating new strategies on upcoming acquisition and growth projects.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
The Must Haves:
- 5+ years of sales experience in the financial industry
- A degree in business, commerce, or financial planning would be an asset
- Experience in designing, developing and implementing sales enablement training programs aimed at enhancing the sales capabilities of the sellers to ensure effective execution of programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skill to influence teams along with the ability to build enthusiasm for new plans
- Proven track record delivering sales results
- Wealth Management, Financial Planning, Pension plans or similar industry experience would be an asset
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Moderate to extensive travel domestically within accountable region to build and maintain advisor and client relationships.
