About the role
We’re looking for an Accounting Service Representative to join our growing team!
Start date : April 2024
Schedule: From 11am to 8pm
What you’ll do here:
- Accurately process and verify payments received, reconcile bank deposits and verify deposit totals.
- Prepare, compile and dispatch invoices, statements, reports and cheques.
- Record and post broker billing statements and payments in the payment register and accounting system.
- Reconcile basic accounts and resolve outstanding amounts.
- Review and resolve daily cash reports, correct and adjust journal entries and process cheque requisitions.
- Verify and post banking information, review new business, amend payment schedules, and process premium refunds for accounts.
- Handle unresolved issues regarding payments, disbursements, billing arrangements, payment methods and account discrepancies.
What you bring to the table:
- College Diploma in accounting (asset) or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- At least 1 year experience in a similar role
- Can consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed
- Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills
- Bilingual (French and English). Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
