The Senior Manager, People Development & Experience, reports directly to the Head of People Development & Experience and is responsible for implementing and managing KPMGI processes and programs related to the talent, experience, and culture, components of the KPMGI People Strategy. In addition to the strategic design of key talent solutions, approaches and processes, this role provides talent consultation and solutioning in collaboration with P&C Business Partners and Advisors, as well as performance managers, authoring best practice and process improvement documentation, and data analysis to deliver talent metrics and recommendations for KPMGI.
What you will do
- Collaborate with the People & Culture leadership team to design and execute key talent processes, including Performance Development, Promotions and Succession Planning, Learning and Development, and Career architecture/skills/mobility, as well as generating high-quality talent data and insights for senior leadership.
- Lead talent consultation with the P&C Business Partners/Advisors to establish talent pipelines for critical roles and identify appropriate leadership development opportunities, including programs for performance manager upskilling and engagement, as well as talent identification and 360 degree/leadership assessments.
- Act as a champion for KPMGI's culture and values, ensuring they are embedded in all talent processes and Our Impact Plan (OIP) related initiatives, including the enhancement of onboarding and integration programs for KPMGI new joiners in collaboration with P&C Business Partners and other stakeholders to ensure diverse talent is attracted, retained, and developed.
- Implement initiatives to foster and maintain an inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and supported, including Global Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (IDE) policies and practices to promote IDE and address any barriers or biases that may exist, and delivering training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of priority diversity and inclusion topics.
- Drive KPMGI’s annual GPS employee engagement process in collaboration with Global IDE and other key areas within KPMGI, in collaboration with the People & Culture team members to implement communications, analyze results, and develop a GPS summary report to KPMGI leadership (monitoring progress in diversity and equity where possible).
- Consult with and provide backup support for Resource Operations team as needed to manage recruiting requests from intake to approval and ensure leaders and performance managers adhere to KPMGI location policy and parameters/guidelines for indefinite secondments, fixed-term secondments, and contingent staff while maintaining guiding principles and a framework methodology for organization design across KPMGI.
What you bring to the role
- Minimum seven years of recent progressive experience in talent management/development, including managing complex internal clients and teams, preferably within the professionals services/consulting industry.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience in HR, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related area of focus.
- Experience using data and analytics to communicate insights through data visualization and written conclusions is required.
- Strong strategic communication and presentation skills with ability to engage leadership at all levels and the ability to influence senior colleagues and leaders level leaders are both required.
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity with a global mindset, interacting with other cultures and managing workload across multiple time zones, is required.
- Consulting (internal or external) and / or business partnering experience is preferred and workforce shaping and organizational design experience is a plus.
