In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading building science projects, including remedial design, site inspections, and technical reporting. The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $110,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities:
Lead the design process for building envelope remediation, including the preparation of detailed specifications and drawings, as well as construction budget estimates and contract administration.
Conduct thorough site inspections and reviews for both new construction and rehabilitation projects, ensuring adherence to design and regulatory standards.
Perform visual and destructive investigations to compile comprehensive technical engineering reports.
Carry out various assessments, including building envelope assessments, building condition assessments, roof condition assessments, reserve fund studies, and performance testing.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists, fostering their professional growth and development.
Undertake various additional duties as required to support project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
A 3-year (Advanced) diploma in Architectural Technology.
At least 7 years of relevant work experience, with a strong focus on on-site inspections and technical reporting.
Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation is preferred.
Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and colleagues.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A flexible mindset and the capability to adapt to changing project priorities.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
