What will your typical day look like?
- Establishes, matures, and oversees engineering best practices for cloud services.
- Continually explores emerging cloud technologies, conducts proof-of-concepts, and builds prototypes to determine institutional relevance and viability.
- Participates in business and technology strategic planning processes and guides business and technical capability initiative roadmaps.
- Establishes guidelines for application sizing and capacity planning. Reviews trending data. Proposes alternative solutions to improve end user experience at lower TCO.
- Builds relationships with internal customers to understand their needs, priorities, roadmap, and definition of success.
- Promote best practices and technologies, spanning cloud org/account management strategies, VPC/Network connectivity, compute management, IAM, cloud security across diverse delivery teams and applications.
- Develops, proposes, and maintains service descriptions, service catalog, service-level agreements (SLAs) and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
- Ensures services operate at an optimal level, are test frequently to meet continuity standards and are always secure.
- Guides continuous improvement efforts for the service by leveraging KPIs and customer feedback.
- Manages projects to success. This includes planning, executing, and reporting status to a variety of audience.
- Serves as an advocate for cloud and related technologies and participates in the center of excellence.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
- Experience with designing and implementing AWS EC2, RDS, S3, EKS, EMR, Sagemaker, VPC, and Transit Gateway.
- Build and maintain relationships with other Cloud Operations Managers to maintain consistent policies, processes, and metrics across cloud platforms
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, Python
- Own and improve operational processes for example Incident Management, Change Management, Release Management, post-mortems, RCAs and others
- Experience of using cutting edge technology and automation that will be the core of operational excellence for this position
- Experience with the development of proof-of-concept/prototypes cloud solutions
- Experienced with working with Linux/Windows Platforms.
- Drive continual improvement through strategic and thoughtful solutions with an automation first attitude
- Experienced in leading and managing Cloud engineering and Infrastructure teams.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD toolchains, such as Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and Git, Chef, Ansible, and/or HashiCorp Terraform.
- Ability to have an open dialog with an application team, learn their application’s function and API to build extensive integrations.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
