ABOUT THE TEAM
This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative assistant to join a first-class, dynamic, team-oriented, highly motivated and supportive Legal team. PSP is committed to hiring exceptional people who will contribute their expertise, talent and energy towards PSP’s mandate.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Affairs, you will be primarily responsible for providing overall administrative support for certain members of the legal team.
You must have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and self-confident, as you will be engaging directly with internal business partners, external counsel and stakeholders. Strong business acumen, good judgment and pragmatism are also a must in order to succeed in this role.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Legal Assistant, you’ll:
Support a team of lawyers on transactions and the management of a global portfolio of assets
Coordinate legal matter management, including the creation of workspaces, filing and file maintenance
Assist in the production of legal documents, preparation of mark-ups and tracking versions of contracts and correspondence
Provide overall administrative and operational support for the team, including scheduling of in-office and virtual meetings, data entry, photocopies, etc.
Coordinate the signing and distribution of legal documents and prepare closing binders
Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an administrative function, ideally with experience in a business law, finance or professional services environment
A college degree (DEP or AEC) in Office Administration is an asset
Knowledge of document management software is an asset
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Strong word processing, spelling, proofreading and editing skills
Good judgement, tact, diplomacy and attention to detail
Autonomy, proactivity and strong time-management skills, with ability to navigate a fast-paced environment
Good work ethic, professional integrity and ability to work effectively with other team members
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
