Colin Druhan

Executive Director

Colin tient à coeur l’amélioration du climat d’inclusivité dans les milieux de travail canadiens et l’élimination des obstacles à l’emploi auxquels font face les personnes LGBT. À titre de directeur général, il est responsable de livraison nationale de la stratégie, des programmes et des initiatives de l’organisme. Avant de s’être joint à Fierté au travail Canada, il a œuvré au sein de l’association étudiante de George Brown College, le centre communautaire 519 Church Street, le Toronto International Film Festival  et le Inside Out LGBT Film and Video Festiva où il a eu affaire à la gestion de bénévoles, aux liaisons avec les partenaires et les collectivités, à l’administration des commandites, à la coordination des programmes d’engagement des employés et à la formation et à l’éducation du personnel.

Joe McNamara

Operations Manager

(English) Joe is an event management professional who has been committed to work for the non-profit sector, and the LGBT community in particular, for more than ten years. She has managed partnerships and events for the Unison Festival and Inside Out: The Ottawa LGBT Film Festival, as well as for the Canadian Museum of Nature, Recovery Day Ottawa, and others. She has delivered conference presentations and contributed to panel discussions on leadership development among LGBT Youth through traditional community organizing. As Operations Manager, Joe works collaboratively with Pride at Work staff, members, and community partners to execute events that authentically enhance and improve the working lives of both LGBT individuals and their colleagues alike. Why Joe does it: “Tomorrow is a question we answer today.”
Jacq Hixson-Vulpe

Program Coordinator

(English) Jacq Hixson-Vulpe brings over 15 years of community, social justice, and labor activism to the position that coordinates Pride at Work Canada’s LGBT Workplace Inclusion Index program. As an out, queer, and trans youth Jacq worked with Teens Educating and Confronting Homophobia (TEACH) and Youthline; this evolved into working with human rights offices, gender based advocacy groups, and unions in post-secondary education settings. Additional experience with policy and advocacy work is also reflected in Jacq’s other position working with The 519 as a Specialist in the Education and Training Department. Jacq is the author of The 519’s “Creating Authentic Spaces: A Gender Identity and Gender Expression Toolkit” and is completing a Ph.D. at York University.
