What will you do in your first experience?
The PepsiCo Canada Operations Coop program provides candidates a diverse range of opportunities to allow them to gain valuable experiences and build their leadership skills. Pursue your passion, explore the Possibilities, and make an impact with an organization that invests in its people!

Depending on the role that's right for you, you'll be based out of one of our world class manufacturing facilities in Mississauga, Peterborough or Cambridge or at our Headquarters location in Mississauga. We will discuss during interviews what locations and experiences you are interested in**. Our coop projects and roles span a wide breadth of experiences in several divisions, including Frontline Leadership, Productivity Projects, Resource Conservation, Sustainability and Energy Conservation and Headquarters Supply Chain (see role descriptions below). In all positions, you will work on projects that require you to perform cost/benefit analysis and balance our four key imperatives: cost, quality, service, and people. Most importantly, you will develop leadership skills through coaching frontline teams or by leading and implementing project initiatives.

Manufacturing/Warehouse Team Leader

  • Lead a group of team members towards operational objectives.
  • Responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety.
  • Motivate your team to achieve established performance targets and coaching them on performance processes
  • Strive to identify and implement productivity and efficiency initiatives (ex. reduction of scheduled downtime, identifying loss points for raw materials, leading front line employees, process changes and product & packaging waste reduction)

Resource Conservation

  • Through the use of Lean Six Sigma techniques identify and develop engineering solutions and SOPs to provide permanent reductions in water, electricity and natural gas.
  • Work with front line techs up to site level managers.
  • Develop or enhance existing daily/weekly/period performance reports.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and the plant to execute process changes in the plant.

Supply Planning Business Analyst

  • Ideally suited to Co-ops who have already experienced manufacturing or logistics operations roles and have a clear desire to start their career in PepsiCo operations
  • Take on the most current supply planning problems in PepsiCo Canada and use your business acumen and analytical skills to work cross functionally on complex issues that need resolution. This role is based in our Mississauga head office
  • Co-op projects are defined based on highest benefit to the business and urgency to complete
  • Experience the thrill of bringing your insights to critical issues and presenting back your findings to Executive Leaders

Demand Planning Business Analyst

  • Ideally suited to Co-ops who have already experienced manufacturing or logistics operations roles and have a clear desire to start their career in PepsiCo operations
  • Take on the most current demand planning problems in PepsiCo Canada and use your business acumen and analytical skills to work cross functionally on complex issues that need resolution. This role is based in our Mississauga head office
  • Co-op projects are defined based on highest benefit to the business and urgency to complete
  • Experience the thrill of bringing your insights to critical issues and presenting back your findings to Executive Leaders

Engineering/Sustainability Intern -Supply Chain

  • Ideally suited to Co-ops who have already experienced manufacturing or logistics operations roles and have a clear desire to start their career in PepsiCo operations
  • Take on the challenge of supporting work in PepsiCo's Performance with Purpose Agenda. Key focus is on activities and projects around our Planet initiative.
  • Demonstrate your engineering skills in problems for PepsiCo Canada Supply Chain including our manufacturing Sites.
  • Use your business acumen and technical skills to work cross functionally on complex issues that need resolution.
  • This role is based in our Mississauga head office and also spends time with our field manufacturing locations.
  • Co-op projects are defined based on highest benefit to the business and urgency to complete
  • Experience the thrill of bringing your insights to critical issues and presenting back your findings to Executive Leaders

Capital Project Leader

  • Responsible for supporting Capital Project Managers in a variety of tasks
  • Scoping to install of manufacturing, infrastructure or resource conservation projects
  • Support our TPM group work towards continuous improvement



What Are We Looking For?

· Must be enrolled in an undergraduate/ graduate Business program with an Operations focus or Engineering program
· Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
· Strong technical and computer skills, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.
· Outstanding organizational skills as demonstrated by your ability to handle multiple priorities and problem solve complex or difficult situations by anticipating obstacles and thinking ahead about next steps
· A passion for and a demonstrated commitment to extra-curricular activities and/or community involvement
· A demonstration of leadership and the ability to work well and thrive in environments where you are equally comfortable working alone or working as a key contributor to a team
· Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, purchasing, distribution or logistics position is an asset but not a requirement
· Travel between PepsiCo locations may be required as necessary
· Bilingual is an asset
· Collaborative team-player with a "roll-up your sleeves" approach

  • Flexible and willing to work on off shifts (weekends or nights)
