Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Senior Key Account Manager (KAM) - is accountable for the delivery of sales and profit objectives with Sobeys Banners for both the Warehouse and DSD business. The KAM is responsible for the effective development and implementation of the customer business plans for assigned customer. The successful incumbent will endeavor to align and integrate category and brand strategies with customer strategies in an effort to understand and drive profitability objectives for PepsiCo Beverages Canada. The KAM will balance business priorities with their people agenda, driving capability and building talent. A motivator and a coach, the KAM will inspire and bring out the best in their team.
The successful incumbent will have expert knowledge of business trends, market dynamics, economic conditions, customer developments, competitive activities, historical category learning's etc. in recommending improvements and innovative solutions to trade based activities. The successful candidate should also have a solid working knowledge of the both direct to store and warehouse go-to-market delivery systems.
Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:
· Required to have a thorough understanding of the marketplace environment impacting the customer. Key skill
sets to be successful would include - Strategic insight, business planning, conflict management, savvy communication, financial acumen and influence management.
· Strong selling and negotiating skills.
· Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, an assertive, proactive and analytical approach with a sales
· Demonstrate a thorough revenue management capability and sound finance acumen. The KAM will leverage
their financial strength to build team capability and conduct accurate financial reconciliations (external/internal)
· Ability to work within a team environment.
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
