Joining Deloitte Consulting as a Solution Designer within our Digital content services in the Canadian Delivery Centre located in Montreal .You will be part of our team of talented consultants and be provided challenging work opportunities.

The role will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your technical, analytical and business skills as part of an experienced team committed to delivering excellent service for clients. You will play an active role throughout the project lifecycle (e.g. data development, analysis, testing) while working on OpenSource and proprietary data integration technology implementation projects, using tools such as Apache Oozie, Syncsort DMX, Java, .Net, SQL, Impala, Python, Kafka, Flume, Spark.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support team on key activities within the software implementation project life-cycle
  • Support solution design activities (e.g. requirements gathering, system analysis, system design)
  • Support development or modification of application programs based on standard procedures and techniques
  • Execute configurations of software application modules
  • Assist higher-level programmers in the development of complex programs
  • Participate in solution testing activities
  • Work on routine, well-defined, analysis-type problems related to a single activity or procedure
  • Analyze customer business processes and document business rules
  • Develop solution related documents such as processes, requirements, desktop procedures, etc.
  • Analyze, manipulate, transform and/or cleanse data
  • Understand and use Deloitte methodologies and tools

Successful candidates are required to have following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Completed undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Management, with an exemplary record of achievement in school both academically and in extracurricular activities.  Graduate degree in Computer Science or Information Management, Analytics or Information Sciences preferred.
  • 6+ years of previous Management experience within Information Management.
  • 10+ years of relevant consulting or professional services industry experience, focused on Information Management.
  • 6+ years of Information Management project experience through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live; strong preference for candidates with extensive experience in both traditional and lean/agile project approaches
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience working with ECM, EDM or BI & Analytics related projects and technologies.
  • Strong background in business development and sales.
  • Knowledge of one or more ECM toolsets such as Open Text, SharePoint, EMC Documentum, Oracle, IBM, and Vignette or BI/ Analytics toolsets such as Cognos, SAS, Hana, Hadoop. .
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking, User Experience / User Interface Design, Mobile application and/ or cross-platform development frameworks
  • Knowledge of the strategic business drivers and operational process requirements within at least one industry such as Financial Services, Energy and Resources, Public Sector, Life Sciences, Pharma and Health Care, Consumer Business, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, or Consumer Business. Ability to link industry specific business requirements to IM solutions is an asset.
  • Canadian travel required with occasional international travel (80%).  Bilingual preferred (French/ English).  Government security clearance or ability to be security cleared.
