As a member of the National Resource Management team supporting Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice you will be responsible for executing the Resource Management strategy both in the regional offices, and nationally. 

The successful applicant will support the Toronto Public Resource Manager in ensuring the effective scheduling and assignment of practitioners.  The results achieved will contribute to successfully meeting or exceeding business targets and results. 

Our goal in Resource Management is to align individual skill sets and career development with client assignment needs as well as the financial objectives of the business.  Primary responsibilities are as follows:

  • Update StaffTrak, the Audit Scheduling Database regularly to ensure all hires, departures and promotions are properly captured
  • Work closely with Resource Manager to ensure staffing for all current and future engagements is accurately captured in StaffTrak
  • Ensure all training assignments are correctly captured in StaffTrak
  • Generate and distribute weekly reporting packages as well as any other additional reporting required 
  • Perform various staffing analysis as required 
  • Develop a working knowledge of A&A services offerings and the skills sets represented in the group by keeping abreast of any new skills that the practitioners have gained 
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking and prioritization required to meet deadlines due to unpredictable nature of work environment and volume of requests.

External Posting Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate:

  • Prior experience in a resource management, recruiting, project management or staff scheduling role
  • Previous experience in a consulting or professional services environment would be an asset 
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in related field
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Possesses strong attention to detail
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, looking for variety and challenge 
  • Works well in a team based environment. 
  • Ability to be proactive, multi-task and feels comfortable working with people at all levels 
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Is concerned about accuracy
